Due to the high nitrogen content, the steel structure after heat treatment contains a large amount of eutectic carbides, so the toughness is poor, that is, the anti-bounce angle performance is poor. It is widely used in cold-working molds with large production batches, which require high wear resistance but are lightly impacted. Such as: continuous punching die, punching die with low hardness.
High toughness and high wear resistance cold work steel mould. Because it is with excellent performance in all aspects. This steel has been collectively referred to as the universal cold work die steel in the market. The representative model is DC53. The characteristics of this type of steel are: the abrasion resistance is twice that of SKD11, the high-temperature hardness stability is stable, and the toughness is also twice that of SKD11, which means that it has good anti-bounce angle performance. It is mainly used for some cold work dies such as cold heading dies. Thick plate punching dies require both good wear resistance and high toughness. Such as: high-speed stamping dies, stainless steel stamping dies, stretching dies.
