Forged O1 tool steel at 800 – 1000 ºC. no forging when below 755 ºC.

Heat Treatment of SAE/AISI O1Steel
  • O1 Steel Annealing

Slowly heat to 700-800 ºC, keep enough time, ensure heat thoroughly. then cooling in furnace at 4-5 ºC per hour. After annealing, the hardness 217 HBS Max.

  • O1 tool Steel Hardening & Quenching

/ ℃ quenching temperature: 790 ~ 790

Quenching medium: oil

  • Tempering Of O1 Steel

/ ℃ tempering temperature: 150 ~ 150

After tempering hardness HRC: 62-57
