Heat Treatment and manufacture
DIN 1.2379 Tool Steel Heat treatment and manufactured as below:
- Forged
Slowly Heat to 1065ºC~954ºC for Forging the 1.2379 cold work tool steel. No forge below 926ºC.
- Annealing
Heat to 871~898ºC, Then slowly cooling at 4.4ºC per hour or less in heat treatment furnace.
- Quenching & Tempering
For get better Mechanical properties of 1.2379 steel, Q+T the steel material is necessary. 1.2379 Tool steels Quenching at 1020～1040ºC, cool in oil or air; Tempering at 180～250ºC.
