Soft annealing

The annealing temperature is 710 ~ 740 ° C, and the heat preservation time is determined by 1h per 25mm wall thickness. After the heat preservation, it is cooled with the furnace.

Destress

The heating temperature is 600 ° C (annealed state), 550 ° C (quenched and tempered state). The heat preservation time is determined as 1h per 50mm wall thickness. After the heat preservation, it is cooled with the furnace.

Quenching and tempering

Preheating temperature is 500 ~ 600 ° C, quenching temperature is 840 ~ 880 ° C, heat preservation is 30min (the mold must be quenched in a protective atmosphere to avoid oxidation and decarburization). Oil-cooled, cooled to 50 ~ 70 ° C, and tempered immediately.

Tempering and holding time is determined according to the thickness of the workpiece 1h every 25mm, at least 2h. Tempering temperature 180 ° C / 200 ° C /

300 ° C / 400 ° C / 500 ° C / 600 ° C, hardness 52HRC / 51HRC / 48 HRC / 46HRC / 42HRC / 34HRC.

Induction hardening

The steel can be surface-hardened to 50HRC by flame or induction hardening, and air-cooled after hardening. Small modules can use general quenching medium. After hardening, they should be tempered immediately. The tempering temperature is 180 ~ 200 ° C.

Nitriding Specification

Nitriding temperature × nitriding time: 525 ° C × 20h, nitride layer thickness 0.30mm; 525 ° C x30h, nitride layer thickness 0.35mm; 525 ° C × 50h, nitride layer thickness 0.50mm.

Soft nitriding

After 570 ° C for 2h, the surface hardness of the mold is about 700HV, and the depth of the nitrided layer is about 0.1mm. [2]

Practical application

1.-Skin pattern, pear skin pattern, imitation stone pattern etching mold.

2.- Transparent plastics such as stationery boxes and daily necessities containers require high gloss molds.

3.- Particularly suitable for hard rubber (PS) and non-breakable rubber (ABS) parts.

4.- Large molds with high output requirements such as automobile bumpers, interior parts, refrigerators, and air conditioners.
