Heat Treatment of SAE/AISI O6 Tool Steel
- O6 Steel Annealing
Slowly heat to 790 ºC, keep enough time, ensure heat thoroughly. then cooling in furnace at 4-5 ºC per hour. After annealing, the hardness 217 HBS Max.
- O6 tool Steel Hardening & Quenching
/ ℃ quenching temperature: 790～840
Quenching medium: oil
- Tempering Of O6 Steel
/ ℃ tempering temperature: 150 ~ 320
After tempering hardness HRC: 63-58
