Alloy Tool Steel is smelt by Electric arc furnace. Typical application in Cutting tool & Measuring tool & Mould manufacturing.

Supply form as Thick steel plate, Thin steel plate, steel strip, flat bar, round bar, square, Hexagonal bar, octagonal steel bars, Steel Wire , rod, steel , forged block and others special shape steel material..

Processing method have hot rolled, forging, Shot peening, Pickling, Cold drawn, Turning cutting, milled, Grind, Polishing, Ground, etc.

Tool Steel classification as below:

1, Hot work tool steel

  • Chromium series: H10~H19.  H10,H11,H12,H13 to H19 is Cr alloy tool steel have good toughness and high hardenability. normal use in high hardness, high toughness requirement tool & mold products.
  • Tungsten series: H21~H26, these tool steel have good Red-hardness,but toughness have some low.
  • Molybdenum series: H41~H43.  as a low carbon, Mo composition high speed hot work tool steel.  it is similar with Tungsten series high speed steel

2, Cold work tool steel

  • Medium alloy, air quenching steel: A2~A10., these steels have good  hardenability and good air quenching property. Like A7 have V and high C, its  wearing quality is very good, but toughness is low. A8 & A9 steel have high toughness, but Wear resistance is not good.
  •  High Carbon & High Chromium steel: D2~D7.  high wear resistance and can quenching in air.
  • Oil quenching steel: O1~O7; these are low alloy tool steel. quenching must be in oil. when the Cross-sectional area more than 50mm, the Core hardness will lower than surface hardness of workpiece .

3, Shock resistant tool steel

  • S1-S7 series use in Shock resistant tool products.

4,Special usages tool steel

  • Grade Number as L2~L6, F1,F2.

5, Mold tool steel

  • P2~P6 steel grade, their carbon composition is low. Must be Carburizing process after finished machining
  • P20,P21,P20S normal use in plastic mould, delivery condition as pre-hardness
