Recently, I communicated with my customer friend, she is asking for the 4140 q&t plate inquiry. But it seems that it is difficult for her to trust a new customer because she experienced the cheated by some Chinese suppliers before.

Here following is the experience she shared with us.When I bought the steel in 2 containers, and I received an equivalent with no nickel, I placed my complaint and they said the material work the same way as a real steel grade. But that is not truth, I had to scrap the material and lost a lot of money.

Second I was working with a supplier in hollow bar, several shippments with no problem and suddenly he delivered a material with tags with different description as in invoice. Customs stop my shippment for more than 6 months. Finally we pay in delays per container, truck and fines. The supplier just said they did that in order to avoid the Chinese tax. I try to sue them, but a lawyer in china told me. I did not have any possibility to win in a Chinese court.
And she said there is a lot of ghost companies with spectacular web pages, unfortunately a lot of companies are being cheated by these companies.

And I am so appreciated for her open sharing such details to me. It really is not the first time I hear from our new customer to share their cheated experience from other suppliers. So it is true that customers can’t just focus your points on the cheap price. Seeing is believing, but mostly, we can not visit the company on site. Like this year, because of the virus, it does not make sense to visit.

But we could spend some time on knowing more about the background of this company.

*Like the quality certificate, and which famous brand company they supply for.
*Learn that how the supplier to control the quality, checking and testing.
*Ask the 3rd party test center to the factory to make the testing accordingly if possible.
*Make some trial order or small order when you work with the new supplier at the 1st time. So that you could see what is the actual performance the supplier do.
