Saudi Arabia Case for 34CrNiMo6 steel

This April, OTAI Steel signed contract with Saudi Arabia tender project which use OTAI 34CrNiMo6 steel. This project is proceed by one of our Asia customer, ender user is a Saudi Arabia tender project. The project will last 3 years. Our customer win the bid for material 34CrNiMo6 steel and 1045 steel. We supply 34CrNiMo6 steel to them, dimension is Φ55mm,Φ210mm, Φ230mm. The first stage they order 9 containers to us, split to 3 batch, 3 containers each batch, each batch they require SGS inspection on site, and inspection standard is EN BS 10343-2009. We finished all three batch this November, each batch fully meet EN BS 10343-2009 standard after SGS inspection.

 

Story about 34CrNiMo6 steel SGS inspection report

Above mentioned SGS report authority proved our material do not have any quality problem to meet Europe standard, what we provide is China price, Europe quality. For the customer who have quality concern about OTAI material, I will share with them this series SGS report.

 

This October, OTAI visit one Asia country, to visit our old friend, also explore our business there. Mr J is OTAI Steel’s old friend, who worked for professional steel distributor in Moscow. Mr J’s company purchase tool steel Cr12MoV from us regularly recent years. From the visit, we got know, his company also purchase 34CrNiMo6 steel, but from Europe. We do not talk too much about 34CrNiMo6 steel during the meeting, for above mentioned quality concern.

 

After back to China, I provide Mr J official quotation. He felt price is attractive, but still no further actions. Then I shared the SGS report and on site inspection photos. That night, I received his email. He seriously point out: According to the report, our material sent to Saudi Arabia project is not Q+T, if Q+T, the tensile strength must be min 1000 MPA, and two heat data is below 1000 MPA. Mr J is very professional at this field, he works as engineer at before. I am not an engineer, can  not explain clearly that moment, but I am sure our 34CrNiMo6 steel have no any problem.
